NexBank fully operational and not affected by CrowdStrike Event
NexBank has not been affected by the CrowdStrike event. We continue to monitor our systems and service providers for any potential concerns.
We ask that our customers be vigilant of potential scammers posing as CrowdStrike representatives or other support representatives asking for access to your device or asking for your personal information. Cybersecurity experts have advised that potential threats are heightened as a result of the CrowdStrike event. Watch for phishing, smishing, vishing and other attempts.
Be cautious with unsolicited correspondence asking you to act quickly
If a communication(email, text or call) from a company or bank asks you to act quickly, exercise caution. Verify these requests with the organization using the official contact information located on its website.
Monitor your accounts
Be alert and check your statements and accounts regularly for any unauthorized activity. Report any activity that is suspicious to the bank or company.
Verify the identity of any suspicious caller or message
If you receive a suspicious call or message asking for your personal information, verify the caller’s identity. You can also hang up and call the company or bank directly using their official phone number to verify the request.
Keep your information secure
To increase the security of your accounts, use a different, strong and unique password for each account, use a secure password management system to store passwords, and enable multifactor authentication for your accounts.
Remember, NexBank will never call, email or message you asking for your personal or account information. Visit our Security Tips for more information about potential scams: https://www.nexbankpersonal.com/security-tips
